A. Instant Presentation: Memorable experiences at work

In this presentation, you will go over experiences at work that are worth noting when talking to someone about your job.  Think about 2 GREAT experiences where your team performed well and 2 experiences where your team DID NOT do so well.  Tell me what you learned from these experiences and what actions you took since then to incorporate them into your management style.

Since computers were first introduced to the public in the early 1980's, technology (change)  a great deal. The first computers (be)  simple machines designed for basic tasks. D. Writing Assignment - Traveling to Chicago

Synopsis:

You are curious about what to do, who to meet and where you'll be in Chicago next month.  Thus, in an attempt to find out more about your stay in Chicago, you decide to talk to one of your colleagues there, Michael, who is an R&D manager. You know him from a previous trip and you hope to leverage your relationship with him to gain some information about your meetings in Chicago next month. 

Assignment: using the SKYPE app in your iPad, write a quick note to Michael telling him about your trip and ask him for additional information and advice based on his experience. Some sample questions are: Have you ever had these type of meetings before? Are they stressful? How would you recommend that I prepare for these series of meetings? What is there to do in Chicago? Where do people stay when they come to the Chicago office? Maybe even propose a quick lunch with him to solidify your relationship.  THE TONE SHOULD BE INFORMAL BUT PROFESSIONAL.
